New appointment at Wabtec Rail
Adrian Shooter has joined Wabtec Rail as a non-executive director.
Wabtec Rail Group has appointed a non-executive director to advise on growth and strategy.
Adrian Shooter will work with all the group’s companies and share his experience of the UK rail industry.
Adrian is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and of the Chartered Institute of Transport. He has recently retired as chairman of DB Regio UK, after having led the management buyout of Chiltern Railways from BR in 1996.
Created in 2011 following the acquisition of Brush Traction at Loughborough and Brush Barclay at Kilmarnock by Doncaster based Wabtec Rail Limited, the group now offers customers a comprehensive rolling stock refurbishment and maintenance service. It now employs around 1,200 people across the three sites.
