The funeral of a man who died from a rare disorder just months before his wedding takes place today.

Michael O’Brien, 41, suffered from Marfan Syndrome - a rare connective tissue disorder that affects just one in 5,000 people.

The Rovers season ticket holder who was well known in the community for his love of the team and his crown green bowling skills died on January 19.

Michael’s funeral takes place today at St Peter’s In Chains Church in Chequer Road, Hyde Park, Doncaster, at 12.15pm followed by a burial Edlington Cemetery and a wake at Graceholme Social Club in Edlington Lane.
