Arsonists cause crags fire

ARSONISTS caused a fire which spread across Denaby Crags on Monday night.

Firefighters from Edlington station attended the scene off Wadworth Street at about 9pm.

They spent about 40 minutes tackling the blaze with a hose reel.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said the blaze had been started deliberately.

There's been fires started on the crags for 50 years to my knowledge.
