Host of events for Haxey's church

SEVERAL events are planned for Haxey Methodist Church this month.

A coffee morning will take place in the adjacent Stephen Jones Community Hall on Saturday, 10.30am to noon.

On Saturday, February 20, there will be a concert by the Hallgate Chamber Orchestra conducted by Carey Williams and accompanied by guest soloists.

This event starts at 7.30pm in the church itself and is a 'collection only' event.

Closing celebrations to the building's centenary year will be wrapped up with a special service led by Rev David Parry, chairman of the Lincoln and Grimsby Circuit.

This event is scheduled for Sunday, February 21, at 10.45am.

And on Thursday, February 25, the Stephen Jones Community Hall will host a slide show to be presented by John Roberts, another 'collection only' event.

The show, which starts at 7.30pm, is the second in a series and it will feature the centenary flower festival weekend as well as other events such as a garden party, Christmas lunch and nativity scenes.
