PICTURE GALLERY - Blues and Twos open weekend

COPS and robbers was just part of the fun and games on offer when the Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum held a Blues and Twos open weekend.

Believed to house the largest collection of serviceable vehicles in the world, the museum has made this an annual event and, according to commercial director Aiden Proctor, this was the best of four to date.

"We had visitors from all over the UK, who enjoyed watching the numerous scenarios we had staged to show off the emergency vehicles and also the rides around the circuit on a variety of vehicles," he said.

"The Sandtoft museum is one of just three around the country and we think it has the largest collection of vehicles in the world - certainly it has the largest collection of useable ones."

The museum is only open periodically during the year. For further details of open days visit the website at www.sandtoft.org.uk
