Showcasing park potential
RESIDENTS of all ages are being encouraged to attend an event designed at ensuring a brighter future for a run-down Isle park.
The Friends of Manor Park (FMP) was formed to help improve the site which is located off Johnson's Lane in Crowle and old equipment has already been removed.
A number of community-spirited residents set up the group in order to try and provide a long-term plan for the site.
The FMP, a registered charity, is seeking input from locals in an effort to provide facilities all year round for the whole community.
A consultation 'space shaper' event is to be held at the park on Saturday, March 20.
This will feature Street Sport activities including tri golf, football, ultimate frisbee and rounders.
Oliver Saxon, of Kings Croft, Ealand is a member of FMP and he explained the aim of the event is to showcase the park's potential and harness ideas.
He added: "It's important to us that we provide something for people of all ages as this is what the park will be for upon completion."
The event runs from 11am to 4pm and light refreshments will be available.
