Very smoothie operators

ENTERPRISING youngsters at Epworth Primary tried their hand at creating a new smoothie drink recently.

Upper Junior youngsters were asked to take up the challenge as part of Enterprise Week.

The pupils worked in groups and then produced publicity material, ran a marketing campaign and presented their product to younger children.

The children were given tokens to exchange for the smoothie drink. Each group then had to compete for custom in the marketplace.

A spokesman said: “The children learnt a lot about enterprise as well as developing their literacy and food technology skills.”
