Free hot drink worth £2.20 at Propa Pies in Crowle

The cafe at 70 High Street offers mouth-watering breakfasts and traditional meals in addition to its range of delicious pies. This week in conjunction with your favourite weekly read it is offering a free hot drink worth up to £2.20 in exchange for the coupon on page 14 of June 23 edition of the Epworth Bells during opening hours, 8am to 4pm, from Thursday June 23 to Wednesday June 29.

The cafe sells breakfasts and, from 11.30am, lunches including mouth-watering pies stuffed with the freshest locally sourced ingredients and other tasty homemade treats cooked daily by owner Caroline Shepherd.

Caroline sells delicious pies but also burgers, sausage and mash, jacket potatoes, homemade lasagne, chilli, salads, cold and vegetarian options.

She added: “My pies are sold here, but there’s so much more on offer. There’s also a board where people can advertise local events and these premises are available for hire.”

There is free wi-fi on the premises for customers, a coffee machine and other hot and cold drinks served throughout the day.

The range of hot and cold pies Caroline offers are encased in handmade all butter pastry and delicious options include steak in gravy, steak with caramelised onions, or creamy Stilton and rainbow peppercorn sauce.

Also in the savoury section there are fillings such as mature cheddar and potato, Cornish pasty and spicy mince, free-range chicken in a rich and tasty gravy. The menu options change on a regular basis and Caroline ensures food is hot and fresh each day.

Caroline, 45, has been selling her in-demand pies at farmers’ markets and elsewhere in the region for the past five years.

She said her new premises would be a great place to meet and greet, with the Crowle Women’s Institute already inquiring about using the new cafe as a meeting place.
