Born and raised in Bentley, Mr Coombs was husband to Pat for 56 years and a dad to Paul, Tim and Juliet.

An obituary said he was also "blessed to be a loving grandad to Portia, Hollie, Joshua, Jacob, Darcie, Oliver, Megan, Cameron, Corin, Jenson and Farrah" and a great grandfather to Saskia.

His funeral will take place on May 18 at Our Lady Of Assumption RC Church, Stainforth at 10am, follwed by interment at Arksey Cemetery.

It will be followed by a farewell gathering and "last orders" when family and friends will be able to raise a glass to Mr Coombs.
