SEVEN games were played this week in the Isle of Axholme Billiards League with a full league programme and two of the outstanding games caused by postponement due to the weather.

From last week the game between Scunthorpe and Owston Ferry A was completed with the league leaders Scunthorpe running out the winners by the odd point at 13 points to 12 after both teams won three tables and the home team got two two point losing tables to the visitors one two point and one one point losing table.

The postponed fixture between Epworth A and Misterton B was played at Epworth with the home team winning by a comfortable 15 points to ten after winning on four tables and taking a one and a two point losing table to the visitors two wins, a two point and two one point losing tables.

The best win in this week's league programme was Scunthorpe away at Owston Ferry C with a scoreline of seven points to 17, the home team winning on one table and gaining a two and two one point losing games to the winners five winning tables and a two point losing table.

Owston Ferry A played at home to Epworth B and lost by eight points to 17 winning only one game and taking two point and one one point losing tables to the victors five wins and a two point losing game.

Misterton B entertained Misterton A thanks to the benevolence of Westwoodside and lost by eight points to 14 after winning only two tables and a two point losing game to the A teams four wins and a two point losing game.

Epworth A entertaineed Westwoodside and lost at home by ten points to 14 after winning two tables and gaining two two point losing games to the visitors four wins and a two point losing game.

Butterwick B maintain their impressive form and this week won at home against long time table toppers Owston Ferry B by 13 points to ten with three winning games and two two point losing games to the visitors three wins and one one points losing game.

Very few high breaks were reported this week but Neal Davison was the top with a 52 and 30, Adrian Fox 34 and 28 and Roy Coulthard 21.
