Euan goes the distance

EUAN Sterling (12) of Station Road in Epworth represented Doncaster Schools in the South Yorkshire Cross Country Event in Rotherham on Saturday.

Euan, who is in Year 7 at Hill House School in Auckley, came 3rd in the Doncaster Schools race held on Doncaster Town Fields on January 20 and was selected to run in the Rotherham event.

The race was 3km long and, in muddy conditions, Euan came a respectable 8th out of a field of 44 boys; the first Doncaster lad to cross the line. Euan is pictured in his Doncaster Schools' running vest number 23.
