Football called off

THERE was again no soccer action in either the Gainsborough Saturday or Sunday League at the weekend as this week’s thaw came too late to save the fixture programme.

This throws up the prospect of most clubs having a very busy end-of-season run-in during April and early May in order to complete their fixtures.

Trinity Challenge Cup Round One - Gainsborough Town Canute Reserves v Retford Town. Nottinghamshire County Junior Cup Quarter-final - Nottinghamshire FC Reserves v BFC Birches.
