Will you pitch in for cricket?

EPWORTH'S re-formed cricket club is on the lookout for cricketing talent to strengthen its squad.

With two defeats and two rain-affected games so far this season, the club's Martin Thompson says it would be good to find more talent to turn out.

"We are always keen to see new players with any cricketing skills, but we could especially use more bowlers," said Mr Thompson. "We are looking for people with commitment that we can depend on. It just seems that young people today have so many other demands on their time."

So far this season Epworth have played Misterton, when they scored 33, which Misterton knocked off without loss, and Luddington, who beat Epworth's all-out score of 65 for the loss of just one wicket. The rain-affected games were against Everton and Kexby.

Prospective players are invited to ring Mr Thompson on 07855 295523 for more information.
