Harry Griffiths, aged 11, from Crowle was introduced to drama at the age of four when he began performing in the festival as a pupil at Saint Norbert’s Catholic Voluntary Academy. Since leaving primary school, he has continued to perform and this year demonstrated talent and diversity in eight senior classes, where he gained four first and four second places, winning trophies for humorous verse, first speaking, original verse and also duologue with his friend James Ferguson.

Harry’s greatest accolade was the bursary he was awarded by the Little Theatre Club which will go towards a place at the Betty Yager Residential Speech and Drama Summer School to be held at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln.

Harry said: “I really enjoyed the festival, especially having the opportunity to perform two poems which I wrote myself and I’m really looking forward to going to summer school.”

“We are so proud of Harry,” said mum Sara, “He never ceases to amaze us and brings laughter to our lives in all he does.”
