Doncaster Knights have appointed Francis Cummins as their new skills and backs coach.

Cummins, 39, was assistant coach at Yorkshire Carnegie last season.

Before switching to the 15-a-side game he worked under Tony Smith at Leeds Rhinos and also managed Bradford Bulls for 48 games between 2013 and 2014.

Cummins made 356 appearances for Leeds Rhinos, scoring 188 tries.

He replaces Paul Cooke, who recently left Knights to make a return to rugby league with Leigh Centurions.
