WATCH: Incredible time-lapse footage of new bridge being installed at Doncaster rail station
Teams from Network Rail worked throughout last weekend to move the new bridge, which connects the new platform 0 with the rest of the station.
The work took place overnight, while trains were not running, with the successful installation of the bridge meaning that work can now proceed as planned until the new platform opens in September.

"The new bridge, as well as the lifts, will make platform 0 fully accessible and will provide the additional space for trains that this busy station needs.”
Once completed, it is hoped that platform 0 will help to provide better, more reliable train services for passengers by taking away bottlenecks within the station.
A Network Rail spokesman told The Free Press that the new platform is expected to open this September.
