The white stuff is forecast to fall from 1am on Friday, December 4 as part of a mixture of rain and snow showers over the town.
Cold temperatures are expected on Friday with lows of 2c to a high of 3c – from 1am to 6am there is a 50 per cent to 40 per cent chance of snowfall.

Hide AdSnow may last until Saturday, according to The Weather Channel which predicts some additional snowfall alongside showers in the morning with highs of 5c and lows of 1c.
On Thursday conditions are expected to start of brisk and dry with plenty of cloud until 8am when showers will then come down until the end of the day.
There are hopes that an ‘Arctic blast’ could hit the UK at the end of this month, meaning we could experience a rare White Christmas, according to some reports.
A spokesperson for the Met Office added: “At the moment the UK is almost four weeks away from Christmas so we are unable to give any detailed forecast at this stage.

Yesterday, (Tuesday, December 1) marked the first official day of meteorological winter, and with it has come colder conditions and forecasts of snow and icy conditions in some places.
Temperatures were crisp and cold on Tuesday as they reached 7c to 9c, which The Met Office described as “a fine start” to December.
